FSi has a membership base of around 190 companies. Among these, we find the four major players: Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Nammo, Thales Norway, and NFM Group. These companies represent the backbone of the Norwegian defense and security industry and play a crucial role in maintaining the country's national security.

In addition to the four major players, the FSi membership mainly consists of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that excel with advanced technology and high competence at the component and subsystem level. These companies form a foundation for innovation and development in the industry, and their contribution is crucial to ensuring Norway's position as a leading player in the defense and security industry.

It is worth noting that the defense-related turnover of FSi member companies was significant in 2021, with a total turnover of NOK 23 billion per year. Of this turnover, exports accounted for approximately 70%, which underscores the international importance and competitiveness of the Norwegian defense and security industry.
